Dear
Nancy,
I
don't know when we have had such a successful
Parent's Association Meeting as the one last
week with you as our speaker! It was obvious
by the turnout, the questions asked and the
run on your books, that your message was one
parents needed and wanted. Your presentation
was dramatic, humorous, and serious - the
perfect combination to get people's attention
and give them advice they will remember and
use.
Your
advice is even good for grandmothers. Despite
considering myself a capable and experienced
mother and grandmother, I found myself thinking
of what you had said when I went out in the
dark with my grandson the other night, and
he said, "I'm scared." Although
I almost replied, "There's nothing to
be scared of," I caught myself and asked
him what he was scared of. Then I reminded
him that he could hold on to me if that would
help.
Thanks
for giving so many of us at North Shore sound
counsel to hold on to. It certainly will help.
