Dear
Nancy,
I
can't believe you have been here and gone.
After waiting all of that time to meet
you and hear you speak, and it's over.
It doesn't seem possible.
Well,
as I hope you already realize, you were
a hit!!! I can't begin to tell you the
wonderful feedback we have gotten as a
result of your visit. One woman walked
up to me and said, "How long did
you say you have known about Nancy and
why have you been keeping her a secret?"
And another said, "It sounds like
you've been reading Nancy Samalin for
quite a while. If you follow her advice
it's no wonder you have such nice kids!"
(If she only knew the truth). Anyway,
this is just a small sampling of the comments
that we have been getting. But, by far
the most frequent comment has been, "Thank
you for bringing her and when is she coming
back." Obviously your sense of humor,
compassion and warmth came through as
you spoke and touched a place in everyone
who came to see you. Often times just
knowing that you are not alone in this
difficult job of trying to raise loving
and caring children is such a help in
itself. And to hear that someone like
you made mistakes is heartening.
Nancy,
it was such a joy meeting you and working
with you. I am also glad that I got to
meet your husband. I hope you enjoyed
the rest of your weekend together. If
there is ever anything that I can do for
you, please do not hesitate to contact
me. I am thrilled that I had the opportunity
to meet you and hear you speak. This may
sound silly, but I was really expecting
so much from you and you by far exceeded
my expectations! Thank you for the wonderful
job that you do, and the difference you
make every day in the lives of our most
precious gift, our children.
